I was born in Brisbane and loved the tropics which I feel has influenced my use of colour. Once I moved to Gladstone I found it easier to get out into the great outdoors. We would head bush or fishing and travelled extensively through Central Queensland. I loved the colours of central Australia and its richness and rugged landscapes.
Since moving to Victoria and Studying at TAFE my artwork has evolved with more abstract images but still influenced by the Landscape. I now enjoy using a variety of mediums, found papers and collage. I find myself representing the Landscape in all its phases, burning, flourishing and drought. I look forward to exploring more of this great region as it inspires a wealth of images from within. I have recently been exploring our gold history and going to mining areas in Victoria which I hope to develop into an exhibition in the near future.
