Natalie Malseed

Natalie is a regional artist who was raised in Albury, New South Wales. She describes herself as a Tactile Artist who enjoys working in a range of mediums. There is however, little doubt that Textile Arts will always be her first love and Artist Annemieke Mein, her creative hero.

Taking her inspiration from the natural world, Natalie produces delicate works often playing with shadow and scale. Building a rhythm in repetition, the creative process is an evolving form of self-expression and meditation. Her works are an extension of that quiet peaceful place.

After taking private Art classes for around 20 years, Natalie undertook further study with the completion of a Diploma of Visual Arts at TAFE NSW Riverina Institute Albury in 2014. This gave way to opportunity and she was selected and commissioned by Albury/Wodonga Development Cooperation to take part in a group commemorative exhibition.

With numerous group shows and three solo exhibitions behind her, Natalie is also a member of im artIndigo Murray Art Collective who had their first collective exhibition in 2017.
