Meg Sprouster

Meg Sprouster is an Albury contemporary artist working mainly in acrylic and mixed media mediums. Having studied art as part of her tertiary training as a teacher at Charles Sturt, Wollongong and New South Wales University she has supplemented this with part time and full time TAFE courses completing Cert lll, lV and Diploma of Art certificates. In the last ten years she has developed a comprehensive understanding of new products and contemporary art practice.

Meg’s 2014 sellout solo exhibition The Space Between, featured Plein-Air painting at Browns Lagoon in Albury. Her paintings of moor hens and local landscapes embedded her love of colour and her fascination with the changing moods throughout the day and seasons as light changes. She is returning to Sydney this year for a joint exhibition in Bondi at the Bondi Pavilion with Albury artist Barb Strand. Opening night is the 23 August, the theme is Listen to the Land.

Meg also exhibits locally with fellow TAFE Art graduates and is a member of The Indigo Murray Art Collective’s inaugural exhibition opening at GIGS Art Gallery on the 24th February.
