Margo Hore is a regional artist currently residing in Bowna alongside the beautiful Lake Hume.

She enjoys working with a range of mediums including watercolour, charcoal, ink and textiles. The mediums are quite relevant to her works as they create an immediate fluidity.

Margo has two distinctive styles of working. One being where she immerses herself and becomes one with the environment. Recent works produced while travelling and camping along the Birdsville Track mid 2016, ‘The Green Desert’ and ‘The Desert of Dust’ relate to a new understanding of the Australian landscape and how she was emotionally uplifted experiencing an iconic connection with a sense of home.

Her work when she returns to her studio however becomes a meditative study of memory and emotion, creating a sensitivity in her work.

Margo has been exhibiting for the past ten years in various group shows and has attended numerous educational workshops during this time. Completing a Diploma of Visual Arts at TAFE NSW Riverina Institute, Albury in 2014, Margo found inspiration in being with like-minded people. She also is inspired by visiting galleries and her artist friends.

Margo is a current member of Artstream, Creators Art Space, GIGS Art Gallery and im art – Indigo Murray Art Collective.
